Wayside Fence Company, a wholesale fence distributor since 1951, is seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Associate with fence or building product experience to generate new business and maintain existing accounts. Must be detail-oriented, have computer experience, as well as possess excellent writing and telephone skills. Full time, 6 days. RESUMES ONLY. SALARY IS COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous sales and/or customer service experience
- Self-motivated team player with strong communication skills
- Must have the ability to multi-task
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Computer literate, including order entry, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Passionate about generating new business
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with existing and prospective customers using your proven follow-up and closing skills, in addition to cold calling, emailing, networking and attending tradeshows
- Schedule appointments and visit existing and prospective customers to review their product needs and determine if additional mutual opportunities exist
- Provide price quotes and sales orders
- Assist customers at the counter
- Operate as the main point of contact and manage assigned accounts
Other Desired Skills:
- Building materials knowledge helpful
- Bi-Lingual English/Spanish helpful
- Previous experience with Sage 100/MAS 90 helpful
